You know all those squares that you toss when mixing color scales? I saved them and used them in my contribution to Dear Fleisher, 4 x 6 Art, the Fleisher Art Memorial’s biennial invitational exhibition and sale of original postcard-sized art to benefit its education and exhibition programs.
Besides polymer clay, I used epoxy resin, and inclusions. The dimensions are (of course) 4 inches by 6 inches.
Each piece of art is sold for $50.00 and the artist’s name is kept secret until the piece sells. Since there are some well-known artists in addition to the Hoi polli contingent to which I belong, the patrons focus on what art they like they like rather than “who they are buying.” The sale is Sunday, September 26, with a preview party on Friday, September 24.
