Handmade for the Holidays

 

Join me at Handmade for the Holidays December 8, 11 am  to 5 pm at Fleisher Art Memorial. The Open Studio Potters group will be selling functional and decorative ceramics lovingly crafted in Fleisher’s pottery studio in South Philadelphia.  One-of-a-kind ornaments, mugs, bowls, trinket trays, soap dishes and more. Each item is made from earthenware clay and decorated with food-safe glazes.  There’s something for everyone on your gift list.  Prices start at $5.00 and most items are under $20.00

Give Sherman for the Holidays

It’s not as hard as you might think!   Polymer Artist Sherman Oberson and his sleigh of goodies lands at the Whitemarsh Art Center’s Winter Craft Market Sherman will be there on December 5th, and on the other days, Ronin elves and  recovering Bad Santas will be vending Sherman’s ornaments and we hope they don’t drink up all the profits.

Franklin Flea Holiday Market and More

If you come to Philadelphia to do Holiday Shopping this year, be sure to check out the Franklin Flea. They’ve set up on the first floor of the old Strawbridge and Clothier store at 8th and Market and the vendors offer a great selection of eclectic funk.

But wait!  There’s more.  If you’re in town during the week, check out Christmas Village (also open on weekends) which pops up in Love Park  every year after Thanksgiving and stays open until the last Sunday in December.    You can go ice skating at Dilworth Park after you’ve finished shopping.
